BIRDS IN THE NATIVE GARDEN

Adding a running water feature to your landscape design can attract more birds and other wildlife (as does adding native plants!). This is a small water feature designed to include an open water space, so the birds can stand on submerged rocks and bathe in the shallow pool. Tip: Better with audio on!
Native plants are "Better for Birds"
...a study on bird-fruit interactions published recently in Biological Conservation shows that, even when exotic fruits are more abundant, “birds usually prefer and seek out native fruits,” says lead author Amanda Gallinat, a postdoctoral researcher at Utah State University.
