THE DESIGN PROCESS

Picture
FREE CONSULTATION

This consultation is a time to meet in person, walk the property and discuss the vision and goals, get a feel for the fit between client and designer, and share information about the design process and package. Please reach out if you would like to schedule a free consultation.

BID PROPOSAL

If we are a good match and you are interested in engaging The Mindful Gardener for landscape design, you will be offered a detailed bid proposal for the design package. You will receive the bid proposal by email, usually within a few days of the initial consultation. The cost of landscape design can vary significantly based on the size and scope of the project, and several other factors. The bid proposal will give you a specific cost or narrow cost range for design, based on your particular needs.

MOVING FORWARD INTO DESIGN PHASE

If you choose to work with The Mindful Gardener, an agreement will be finalized and a tentative timeline set. It generally takes from 1 to 4 months from the time of contracting to having a finished design in hand, but there are always exceptions to that timeline, in both directions. Once you decide you would like to work with The Mindful Gardener, it's a good idea to go ahead and formalize an agreement (sign the bid and submit a deposit), as that is the time at which you will be added to the queue of design jobs.

A COMPLETE PACKAGE

Once the design is complete and you have approved it, the design package can be taken to any landscape contractor for installation pricing, or you can install it yourself -- all at once, or in phases!

Please be in touch if you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation! Cheers!
